Welcome to the public web log of Fred Lambuth
The index view of my blog posts now has a thumbnail of the photo that got randomly attached to its index number attached to each blog entry. I thought my css style sheet would make sure they do not overlap, but when I see how it looks on a vertically aligned phone, I see that is wrong. I’m hoping to not exactly fix that CSS stuff and instead judo my way around it by choosing a font color that works even if it bleeds over onto the thumbnail image. My next planned bit of work is going to take some pre-planning on my part. It requires work that I can’t do in one or even two 2-3 hour spurts. Sometimes when I stumble into those types of tasks I end up doing redundant or incompatible work. I hope an hour of planning will save me hours of troubleshooting.
Although I am enjoying the personal story in the memoir I picked up from the library app, I think I would enjoy the book the author references within the book I’m reading even more. From what I can infer, it is a historical screed about mid 20th century Korea. I like the writer’s voice and I can’t wait to see how it works when set upon some cold dreary cold war dissection.
Instead of looking for a new game to replace Red Dead Redemption 2, I was thinking of going back to Cities: Skyline. When I replaced the faulty disk drive, I saw a chance to put more LEDs into my PC and deal with the ever ballooning memory requirements of just a damn browser in one fell swoop by getting two sticks of 16 GB DDR5 RAM. That game was pushing the upper bounds of my previous 2x8 configuration.
