Welcome to the public web log of Fred Lambuth
That rule I conjured up about limiting blog posts to occasions when I have updates on the website to report will likely lapse. I’ve been reading books, watching shows at the Paper Tiger, and playing video games (oh yeah, video games are now grist for the review mill) that have yet to be critiqued publicly by me! The website does have a lot of changes worth doing, but they involve more than just a less than one hour jaunt through the codebase. I am swamped enough at work that doing any recreational coding for more than one hour a week sounds not pleasant.
Finished the Fiona Hill book that mashed together her memoirs, social commentary about the worsening conditions for people trying to follow her path out of poverty, and occasional anecdote about her time in Trump’s National Security Council. It was good. I enjoyed going through all 400ish pages. I feel they could be cut down by a quarter by removing some redundant points. On occasion I got confused about where I left off because of some remarkably similar phrasing about the same ideas in more than one page.
Screaming Females was to my satisfaction, despite them not playing hardly any of what I was hoping to hear. Great audio. No complaints there.
About video games. It's all about the Red Dead Redemption 2. I could not say enough good things about it. If you knew my steam profile, you could see the embarrassing amount of hours I have recently put into being a fake digital cowboy bandit.
