Yeah, there’s an update. I fixed the dashboard landing page so that the third Plotly Dash app is shown. The CSS is ugly everywhere and definitely not consistent. I suppose I should work on that. Today’s book talk is a boring tech one. I had been reading a very old (80s I think) dry software design pattern book. That helped as much as I could stomach reading it. A fine book but I have other things I would rather read. I feel I sucked up the parts I needed by looking at the chapter that dealt with the design pattern I encountered out in the wild. Next one I hope to get from the library is one recommended in the data engineering subreddit: Designing Data-intensive Applications. An O’Reilly book! The cover model is a warthog. I judge my O’Reilly books by their cover. If the illustration on the cover does not please me, I do not even pick it up.
